Lure Fish Kitchen draws you in with its laid back vibe and high quality fish and chips. Located on a quiet road in Dartmouth Park, once home to a curry house, this family friendly venue with exposed brick walls is no average fish and chip eatery. Fresh, seasonal, sustainable is its motto.
Cod and Haddock, both arrive in a light, crisp batter, moist fish within, the star of the show. Presented pride of place, with wonderfully crisp chips served separately. Chunky tartare sauce and lemony mayo are both delicious for dipping. Fresh, crunchy fennel slaw and a bitter endive salad add a little something extra.
Too tempted by the Camden Hells battered fish this time around, on our next visit we may be swayed by one of the other dishes on the menu. Think salad of wild ocean trout, or Japanese style farmed Irish salmon, both sound tempting.
With excellent fish, friendly service, weekly specials and a stylish setting, this should be more than enough to lure you to North London.
